Ice Pack & Wrap

Ice treatment is most commonly used for acute injuries. If you have had a recent injury where swelling is a problem, you should be using ice within the first 48 hours. Ice packs can help reduce bleeding into the tissues as well as reduce muscle spasm and pain.  Ice packs are often used after injuries like in case of ankle sprains. Applying an ice pack early, specially during the first 48 hours, will help in minimising the swelling of the injury, which in turn will help in controlling the pain.
